Parish Activities Council
- This is our forum for planning and organizing events within
the parish. It is comprised of members from each of our main
committees (namely, Community Life, Knights of Columbus, Social
Action, Spiritual Life, St. Martin de Porres).
More information including agendas and minutes,
here.
- Knights of Columbus - Knights
are Catholic men, 18 years of age or older, who are committed to
making their community a better place, while supporting the Church.
The St. Joseph Knights of Columbus Council is very active, and has
won a few awards for their wonderful service projects. Every
year during Lent, they fill us with fabulous fish, and you never
have to look far to find evidence of their involvement in our
parish. If you are interested in more information, or if you
are a man interested in joining, please contact Ed Stransky, Grand
Knight 2006-07, or the parish office.
Read the latest in the monthly newsletter, "The Carpenter".
-
St. Martin de Porres Society
- Our mission is very simple: to reach out and help people in our
community who are suffering from any number of problems including
loss of or inadequate income, illness, homelessness, abusive
relationships, and/or catastrophic circumstances. We always
welcome new members and invite you to join us if you feel this type
of ministry may be of interest. Meetings are on the 2nd
Tuesdays of March, June, September, and December, starting at 7 PM.
If you would like more information, contact Gloria Butler or the
parish office.
-
Ministry of Mothers Sharing (MOMS)
- As wives, mothers, daughters and friends, this group serves the
individual through personal and spiritual growth so that
participants can nurture others more effectively. The MOMS
group is a peer ministry designed to encourage women's spirituality
by exploring ways to inspire, encourage, and affirm each other.
Each mother has the gift of her story, so won't you please consider
sharing yours with our group? Spots are now open for the Fall
2007 group. Fill out
this form or pick one up from the church or PAC. Return to
the parish office, Laura Weisburn, or Kim Gilles - space is limited
to the first eight registrants.
- Women's
Ministry - Our Women's Ministry group is currently being
formed, and our goal is to reach out to women in the parish and
minister to each other. If you are interested, contact Ali
Arend or the parish office.
